This rear suspension conversion kit replaces the original self-levelling dampers which have a weaker spring and hydraulic self-levelling function that also supports part of the vehicle weight. The Pedders kit uses matched springs and dampers designed to carry the full vehicle weight and restore the correct ride height. This eliminates the common issue of vehicles sitting low due to self-levelling function failure.

The kit improves suspension control, particularly when towing or carrying heavy loads, where the original system tends to be underdamped. For users towing heavy trailers or carrying very heavy loads, a stiffer spring version is available under part number 803322. The kit suits vehicles with or without the self-levelling option and fits irrespective of wheel size, although height measurements are based on 16 inch wheels.
